These registers of promissory notes drawn up by immigrants to pay their fares and for clothes, equipment etc., after arrival are held at Queensland State Archives. The two registers contain different details: ITM18415 includes the ship's name, name of immigrant, railway fare, ship kit, clothes and total; ITM18416: on some pages has the heading "promissory notes" crossed out and "railway undertakings" inserted, and entry details include date, by whom made (name, address), employer, where payable, when due, if sent for collection, if returned.
