This layer identifies beaches and surrounding rocky coastlines that are significant and very significant nesting areas for sea turtles that are listed as 'threatened' wildlife defined under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 (NCA). Threatened wildlife habitat areas are a matter of state environmental significance (MSES) for the purposes of the State Planning Policy 2017 (SPP).
