From September 17 the NSW Health changed the way it reports tests data. The total number of tests include all tests regardless of prior COVID diagnosis and is in line with the way other jurisdictions report COVID-19 testing across Australia.
NSW Health is also changing the format of the Tests data it sends to the Data Analytic Centre (DAC). Due to the large volume of tests, from September 17, only aggregated data will be provided. This means that updates to the unit record dataset on Data.NSW will be discontinued. The aggregated dataset will continue to be updated. It will only include negative tests as positive tests are included in the cases dataset.
