KeyDocument 01 The Australian fisheries and aquaculture statistics 2013 report contains data on the Australian consumption of seafood, and volume and value of production from state, territory and Commonwealth commercial fisheries (both wild catch and aquaculture). It also includes data on the volume and value of Australian fisheries trade, by destination, source and product. Profiles of Commonwealth and state/territory commercial fisheries and state/territory aquaculture, including key species, fishing methods and number of licence holders, for 2011-12 and 2012-13 are also provided. Information is also provided on the recreational sector and customary fishing by Indigenous Australians. Revised 2014-12-09: Data reported in Tables 2-6 inclusive and Table 9. In text, updates were made to: • Figure 1 to reflect total volume and value of Australian edible seafood exports • Queensland scallop production volume in 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 • Any production volume data that relates to scallop, mollusc or total production in 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13.
