Pharmacy Apprentices 1861-1964

This is an index to the Register of chemists and druggists and the Registers of pharmaceutical apprentices.

The Register of chemists and druggists records the registration of chemists and druggists in Queensland by the Medical Board of Queensland. Details for each entry include the number of certificate and date of registration, the name, address and qualifications of the practitioner, and any remarks. Under "qualifications" there are entries for examinations passed, number of years of apprenticeship served, membership of Pharmacy institutions in other states or overseas, and names of those providing testimonials.

The Registers of pharmaceutical apprentices record pharmaceutical apprentices registered by the Pharmacists Board of Queensland. Each entry records the name and address of the apprentice, the name and sometimes the suburb or township of the pharmacist to whom the person was apprenticed, the date that preliminary and subsequent examinations were passed, the dates of indenture and its registration, the duration of the term to be served, and the date of registration as a qualified pharmaceutical chemist.
