RRC Footpaths

Lineage: This footpaths layer was derived from a GIS layer. This layer contains footpaths, footbridge and cycle ways within the local government area. All footpaths, footbridge and cycle ways have been validated by Council officers through field work and photographs and additional asset information were added to the layer. Council’s asset management system was also used in the validation process.

Positional Accuracy: The Position accuracy of the footpaths is of a high level of accuracy as it has validated through field inspections by Council officers and using high resolution georeferenced aerial imagery. The validation process was initiated as a part of Councils revaluation process. The footpaths are inspected on an annual basis.

Attribute Accuracy: The attribute accuracy of the footpaths is of a high level of accuracy as its attributes were added in house by Aerial Imagery and the Asset Management System (Conquest) which contains photos of footpaths owned and maintained by Council.
