Mapping data for the locations of Storm Flood and Cyclone Warnings by Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES). The information is updated every 30 minutes. Points represent the general area of the warning. The CAPAU (XML) format file also include areas of the warning. CAPAU is Common Alerting Protocol Australian Profile and is used to alert and inform emergency response agencies, media and the general public.
The Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) is an international standard for the construction of emergency alert and warning messages, which facilitates reliable information exchange between various systems and networks.
