Participation in the Australian Antarctic Program reported by financial year, beginning on 1 July for 1987-1988 to 2014–2015. Participation is measured in ‘expeditioner years’ and is evaluated across all stations, temporary field camps and ship and aircraft journeys. This data was sourced from the Australian Antarctic Division. Data used by the Department of Environment and Energy to produce graph at Figure ANT13 in the Antarctic environment theme of the 2016 State of the Environment Report, available at
