Roadside Conservation - Road Centerline (DBCA-030)

Created 13/01/2025

Updated 01/04/2025

The Roadside Conservation Committee (RCC) surveys were initiated to assist Local Government Authorities (LGAs) and local communities in the protection, maintenance and improvement of roadside vegetation. The roadside assessment mapping and data are generated with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software. A number of attributes, such as width, diversity of vegetation, number of native species present, extent of weed cover and adjoining land use are recorded and are then scored to produce a conservation score for that section of road. The resulting map shows the pattern of roadside conservation values (high, medium high, medium low, low) and how those values vary across a district. was formally Roadside Conservation Committee(RCC) - Roadside Vegetation Survey Right (DPAW-040) and Roadside Conservation Committee(RCC) - Roadside Vegetation Survey Left (DPAW-041) and Roadside Conservation Committee(RCC) - Weeds (DPAW-045)
