CLM - Extent of Clarence River alluvial systems

Created 06/07/2017

Updated 19/11/2019

Abstract

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.

This shapefile shows the extent of the alluvial aquifers (including colluvium) within the Bremer River and Warrill Creek basins.

Dataset History

The shapefile is based on the digital 1:250000 surface geological map (see lineage) obtained from the Clarence-Moreton SEEBASE project in NSW and the Qld surface geological mapsheet. The polygons for the alluvium and colluvium were extracted in ArcGIS and then combined into a new shapefile. Boundaries were dissolved.
