Great Western Highway upgrade at Kelso : review of environmental factors

Created 06/05/2025

Updated 06/05/2025

The NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) proposes to widen around 2.4 kilometres of the Great Western Highway at Kelso to four lanes with a divided median. The proposed upgrade extends from just west of the Great Western Highway intersection with Stockland Drive to just east of Ashworth Drive (the proposal). The proposal is required to ease current traffic congestion at peak times and to cater for future traffic growth from increased population and residential and commercial development anticipated in the area.
