Republished with a redefined set of attributes, Marine Management Areas (created under the CALM Act 1984) are areas set aside for the management and protection of the marine environment so it can be used for conservation, recreation, scientific and commercial purposes. Boundary representation in this dataset is sourced from the Spatial Cadastral Database (SCDB) and based on GDA 94.
