Abstract
This dataset contains the files generated for the Beetaloo Sub-basin Chance of Success Mapping undertaken as part of the Geological and Bioregional Assessments Program. Play fairway mapping was used to map the distribution of petroleum plays likely to be developed in a 5 to 10 year time frame. This process aims to address the geological factors likely to assist in identifying whether a viable petroleum play is likely to be present, and makes no attempt to factor economics, politics, or social factors into the assessment.

History
This data set contains image files pertaining to chance of success prospectivity assessment for the Beetaloo Sub-basin. This was undertaken in Stage 2 of the Geological and Bioregional Assessment Program and described in Hall LS, Wang L, Bailey A, Orr M, Owens R, Lech M, Skeers N and Woods M (2020) Petroleum prospectivity for the Beetaloo Sub-basin. Technical appendix for the Geological and Bioregional Assessment Program: Stage 2. Department of the Environment and Energy, Bureau of Meteorology, CSIRO and Geoscience Australia, Australia.
All files use the Map Grid of Australia (MGA) projection (zone 53) and the Geocentric Datum of Australia 1994 (GDA94). Datasets were generated using Petrosys software in Geoscience Australia.
