Each year Sustainable Timber Tasmania publishes Insect Monitoring and Insecticide & Herbicide Application information relating to operations on Permanent Timber Production Zone (PTPZ) land. The information relates to: Areas it intends to conduct monitoring of insect populations on PTPZ land to inform stakeholders of areas that may be subject to insecticide application operations. Insecticide application is subject to the presence of damaging insect populations in addition to a suitable site and operational conditions. Areas it conducted insecticide application on PTPZ land in the previous year. This information is published to provide context to stakeholders of areas that may be subject to future insecticide application operations. Areas it intends to conduct broadacre herbicide application on to inform stakeholders of our intended planned operations on PTPZ land and to seek their input prior to operations commencing. This layer is updated annually (approximately in October) to identify the areas of the planned application.
