Abstract
The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. This dataset was derived from multiple datasets. You can find a link to the parent datasets in the Lineage Field in this metadata statement. The History Field in this metadata statement describes how this dataset was derived.
This dataset was compiled for the current water account analysis in the groundwater model domain of the Clarence-Moreton bioregion. It mainly contains allocation, bore purpose and aquifer assignment information. Although there are two column for screen information, it is not suggested to use them due to the inferior quality. For screen information, please refer to the bore assignment dataset (https://data.bioregionalassessments.gov.au/datastore/dataset/e035500e-868e-44bb-8993-7c67048773a9). The data were sourced from the state allocation database (Bioregional Assessment Programme, Dataset 1) and the National Groundwater Information System (Bureau of Meteorology, Dataset 2). The data indicate that the Richmond alluvium and the Lamington Volcanics are the main groundwater water sources in the model domain. Most groundwater water are used for irrigation, and domestic and stock bores.
Dataset History
This dataset was compiled through the following process:
-
Filter the NGIS database using the data using the spatial extent of the groundwater model for the Clarence-Moreton bioregion;
-
Exclude the bores without construction information;
-
Exclude the bores that are not active;
-
Assign bores to aquifers;
-
Exclude monitoring and exploration bores.
