Abstract

This dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. The parent datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.

This dataset contains a grid showing the depth, from surface to the top of the Cenozoic layer of the Great Artesian Basin.

Dataset History

This dataset was created by subtracting the Great Artesian Basin Base of Cenozoic (GUID: 29c68318-d3bb-432a-90a2-c96d5df7af0b) from the 3 second DEM (12e0731d-96dd-49cc-aa21-ebfd65a3f67a), to yield an isopach of the Cenzoic sedimentary sequence, which is equivalent to the thickness of the Lake Eyre geological basin, across the area of interest.
