This data set aggregates and summarises the water quality data collected by researchers from the Australian Institute of Marine Science from 1974 until the present. It focuses on dissolved and particulate nutrients collected in and around the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland and the tropical waters of Western Australia but is not an exhaustive summary . It also contains an historical data transcribed from the reports of the Low Islands Expedition 1928-29 led by C.M. Yonge . While every effort has been made to include only high quality data, only data from 2005 onwards has accompanying quality assurance documentation.
