Bathomes within Australian waters is a depth-related biomic regionalisation of Australian waters derived primarily from the distribution of demersal fishes and bathymetric data.

The data incorporates the analyses of Last et. al. (2005), Vince et. al. (2009), and advice from the CERF Marine Biodiversity Hub, to give a complete depth by bioregion coverage for Australian waters. The data was generated as part of the marine bioregional planning process to assist with decision making in relation to meeting Goal 2 of the NRSMPA Goals and Principles.Departmental Deed Data is available under licence.
