Abstract

This dataset is the spatial extent of the composite footprint of geological units classified as unconventional gas plays: shale, tight and deep coal. It is considered in conceptual models to identify areas where there is a greater likelihood of hydrological connections based on their linear distance (predominantly vertical) to GAB aquifers and assets (both near-surface and at-surface).
