Created 24/06/2017

Updated 24/06/2017

This dataset contains the processed Hydrology (HYD) data collected on Courageous cruise 036. The voyage took place in the Australian North West Shelf between Legendre Island and King Sound during June-July 1978. Five hydrology transects were completed across the shelf, opposite King Sound, Broome, 80 Mile Beach, Port Hedland and Legendre Island. This dataset has been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage. Courageous on-voyage hydrology data are typically obtained from water samples collected in Nansen bottles at various depths. Parameters measured comprise some or all of the following: temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, phosphate, nitrate, silicate, and nitrite. For further details consult the Divisional Data Centre.
