Dinosaur Coast Mgmt Plan (DCNHMP) - Project Boundary (DBCA-085)

Created 13/01/2025

Updated 01/04/2025

The Dinosaur Coast National Heritage Management Plan (DCNHMP) Project Boundary defines the area covered by the DCNHMP (2025) project. The DCNHMP focuses on the protection and management of geological and palaeontological features (ichnofossils including dinosaur footprints), that form part of a natural and cultural landscape that is relevant to The West Kimberley National Heritage listing. The project area is approximately 50km of the intertidal zone (the area between highest astronomical tide and lowest astronomical tide) around the town of Broome. The project area extends 15km east-southeast from Broome along the northern shore of Roebuck Bay to Crab Creek and southwest then north away from Broome along the Dampier Peninsula coastline to conclude 25km northwest of Broome at Willie Creek. The DCNHMP (2025) is the product of the federal Department of Climate Change Environment Energy and Water (DCCEEW) grant funding. This dataset is one of three datasets produced by the DCNHMP.
