Depth to magnetic basement of the Arunta-Georgina-Amadeus-Musgrave region

The depth to magnetic basement map was constructed from drill hole, seismic and magnetic depth estimation methods. The depth estimation methods included froward modelling on profile data and estimates generated from an updated spectral method. The spectral method, which provided the majority of the magnetic depth estimates, was developed by Meixner and Johnston as part of this study and is based on the Specter and Grant method that has been updated to incorporate fractal magnetisation distribution. These updates have improved depth estimation accuracy.
