The Draiange Lines dataset forms part of the Launceston City Council Detail Survey Database (LCC DSDB). The purpose of this dataset is to give a general indication of both natural and manmade drainage features within the urban areas of the Launceston Municipality. Drainage line dataset includes features such as levees, banks, swamps, creeks, streams, drains and dams. The data has been compiled over a number of years using mainly hand digitising (1:500 hardcopy plans), aerial photogrammety (1:5000 aerial photographs) and field survey work.

Other datasets included in the LCC DSDB are buildings, fences, pavement, sewer lines, sewer points, stormwater lines, stormwater points, water lines, water points and vegetation.
