E-mobility is a key initiative of the Transport Plan for Brisbane - Strategic Directions and Brisbane City Council’s e-mobility Strategy and focuses on opportunities to encourage greater use of e-scooters, e-bikes, and other emerging, sustainable e-mobility travel options. Shared e-mobility offers a range of benefits including creating new connections to and from public transport hubs and cycling and pedestrian links, reducing unnecessary short car trips, and reducing traffic congestion and parking issues on local streets. Brisbane City Council tracks monthly trip numbers for shared e-mobility devices, including e-scooters and e-bikes.
