Created 13/01/2025

Updated 08/04/2025

European house borer (EHB), Hylotrupes bajulus Linnaeus, is a destructive pest of seasoned coniferous timber including pine, fir and spruce. If allowed to become established it can cause major structural damage to buildings. This data set shows Restricted Movement Zones (RMZ) surrounding areas in which EHB has been found. Restricted movement of pinewood may apply within all or part of these areas.
EHB Restricted Movement Zones are subject to change. See the DPIRD website for up to date specific information on EHB RMZs and requirements.
