Abstract

This dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. The parent datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.

This dataset provides a hydrogeological cross-section of the Galilee subregion along the extent of the Burdekin river basin. The cross-section is to be viewed using Esri ArcScene software.

Dataset History

  • A cross section line was traced along the boundary of the Burdekin river basin polygon, and a 1m buffer applied to convert the line into a polygon feature.

  • Top of formation elevation raster layer for each hydrogeological formation of the Galilee subregion, including the 1 second DEM, were converted to TIN layers.

  • The 'Extrude Between' tool was used to create cross section GeoVolume features along the cross section polygon, for each hydrogeological layer.
