Upper Lachlan Shire Flood Warning System - Investigation and Options Report

Created 05/05/2025

Updated 05/05/2025

report documenting options for flood warning systems at the villages of Gunning, Collector, Crookwell, and Taralga. By grouping the individual component options by their placement in the total flood warning system and performing a multi-criteria analysis, a subset of the best components was identified for consideration in the flood warning system design. These potential options constitute the most viable flood warning systems available to the LGA at the time of publishing and within the constraints of the flooding behaviour in each of the four catchments. These options also take into consideration the specific flood behaviour and emergency operation timeline for the Upper Lachlan area and may not be applicable elsewhere in NSW or Australia.
