Updated 20/01/2025

The study utilised OzWheat, a diverse population of 286 wheat varieties comprising land races and progenitors of early and modern elite Australian varieties. The DIA-MS dataset was collected from the above ground stem tissue of plants germinated in growth chambers at the two leaf stage, in Canberra, Australia at the end of 2016, where each variety was seeded twice. Each variety was also seeded twice and grown to maturity in a temperature-controlled plastic growth house, with flowering assessed twice weekly. This was based on plants having reached stage z61 or anthesis (days after sowing), marked by the extrusion of anthers from the spikelets.
