The fire ant biosecurity zones dataset is the spatial representation of the fire ant biosecurity zones in Queensland where restrictions apply to the movement of material that could spread fire ants.The Biosecurity Regulation 2016 prescribes procedures that must be followed when moving or storing fire ant carriers from within the fire ant biosecurity zones. These procedures are outlined in easy to follow guidelines and are available at http://www.fireants.org.au.If you are unable to comply with these conditions then a biosecurity instrument permit must be obtained before moving the material from a property.Further information about the fire ant biosecurity zones and related movement controls are available at http://www.fireants.org.au or call 13 25 23.
