This layer represents the number of times an area has been burnt, based on mapped fire history. This dataset is based on the BLD_FIRE_SCAR dataset, and provides number of (and years of) planned burns and fires (both separated out and combined), plus years since a location has been burnt.This shows both public and private land The layer includes bushfires and DELWP planned burn information. This dataset only shows the fire scars (boundaries) - to allow a simplified view of fire frequency. CFA data on fires occurring on private land has also been included since 2009. This data set was updated in August 2023 and includes fire season 22/23
