This dataset contains the processed Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) data collected on Franklin voyage FR 10/96 (PACMANUS III). The voyage took place in the Bismarck and Solomon Seas during 23 November - 17 December 1996. This "tow-yo" dataset differs from standard (fixed station) CTD data in that the data are collected from a constantly varying range of depths as the system is towed by the research vessel moving at a specified speed. This dataset has been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report (as available).
