Frost : Mean monthly and mean annual days with minimum temperature less than a given threshold (base climatological datasets, 1976-2005)

Created 07/10/2024

Updated 07/10/2024

The grids show the average number of days (averaged across 1976-2005) with minimum temperature less than a given threshold (2, 0, -2, -5 degrees celsius). This is referred to as frost potential. The data extends across Australia, and is in the form of two-dimensional array data. Timespan averages are for each month (for 30 years) or annual (for 30 years). Data is derived from approximately 1300 weather stations.
