The Greater Hobart Urban Growth Boundary forms part of the declared Southern Tasmania Regional Land Use Strategy (STRLUS). This map layer shows the Urban Growth Boundary in Map 10 of the STRLUS.

The STRLUS was originally declared by the then Minister for Planning on 27 October 2011 under section 5A(3) of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993, along with the regional land use strategies for the other two regions in Tasmania.
