The 'Facility for Automated Intelligent Monitoring of Marine Systems' (FAIMMS) is a facility of the Australian 'Integrated Marine Observing System' (IMOS) project. This data set was collected by the FAIMMS Great Barrier Reef Sensor Network and contains data from the following sensor deployments:

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Water Temperature at 0.3m from 22 Dec 2008 through to 17 Aug 2012, and the installation was located at/on Heron Island Sensor Float 3 Latitude:-23.453 - Longitude:151.96306. Sensor deployed was a MEA2173 SDI-12 Smart Temperature Sensor manufactured by Measurement Engineering Australia, model MEA2173. The following comment was recorded regarding this deployment - 'Thermistor mounted under Sensor Float 3 (SF3) at Heron Island'.

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Water Temperature at 0.3m from 18 Aug 2012 through to 03 Sep 2012, and the installation was located at/on Heron Island Sensor Float 3 Latitude:-23.453 - Longitude:151.96306. Sensor deployed was a MEA2173 SDI-12 Smart Temperature Sensor manufactured by Measurement Engineering Australia, model MEA2173.

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Water Temperature at 0.3m from 03 Sep 2012 through to 19 Jan 2013, and the installation was located at/on Heron Island Sensor Float 3 Latitude:-23.453 - Longitude:151.96306. Sensor deployed was a MEA2173 SDI-12 Smart Temperature Sensor manufactured by Measurement Engineering Australia, model MEA2173. The following comment was recorded regarding this deployment - 'added by auto deploy'.

The following comment was recorded regarding this deployment - 'added by auto deploy'.
