The 'Facility for Automated Intelligent Monitoring of Marine Systems' (FAIMMS) is a facility of the Australian 'Integrated Marine Observing System' (IMOS) project. This data set was collected by the FAIMMS Great Barrier Reef Sensor Network and contains data from the following sensor deployments:

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Air Temperature from 02 Dec 2008 through to 02 Sep 2012, and the installation was located at/on Heron Island Weather Station Latitude:-23.44822 - Longitude:151.98386. Sensor deployed was a Vaisala WXT510/WXT520 Weather Transmitter manufactured by Vaisala, model WXT510. The following comment was recorded regarding this deployment - 'Heron Island Weather Station Air Temperature'.

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Air Temperature from 02 Sep 2012 through to 01 Mar 2016, and the installation was located at/on Heron Island Weather Station Latitude:-23.44822 - Longitude:151.98386. Sensor deployed was a Vaisala WXT520 Weather Transmitter manufactured by Vaisala, model WXT520. The following comment was recorded regarding this deployment - 'added by auto deploy'.

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Air Temperature from 29 Feb 2016 through to 12 Sep 2016, and the installation was located at/on Heron Island Weather Station Latitude:-23.44822 - Longitude:151.98386. Sensor deployed was a Vaisala WXT520 Weather Transmitter manufactured by Vaisala, model WXT520. The following comment was recorded regarding this deployment - 'added by auto deploy'.
