The 'Facility for Automated Intelligent Monitoring of Marine Systems' (FAIMMS) is a facility of the Australian 'Integrated Marine Observing System' (IMOS) project. This data set was collected by the FAIMMS Great Barrier Reef Sensor Network and contains data from the following sensor deployments:

There have been 3 deployments for the Water Temperature data set.

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Water Temperature at 0.6m from 13 Aug 2010 through to 23 Feb 2012, and the installation was located at/on Lizard Island Sensor Float 3 Latitude:-14.68752 - Longitude:145.4635. Sensor deployed was a MEA2173 SDI-12 Smart Temperature Sensor manufactured by Measurement Engineering Australia, model MEA2173. The following comment was recorded regarding this deployment - 'Water Temperature from the MEA Thermistor mounted directly under Sensor-Float 3 at Lizard Island: MEA2173 SDI-12 Smart Temperature Sensor 542 measuring Water Temperature in units degrees celcius'.

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Water Temperature at 0.6m from 29 Feb 2012 through to 11 Feb 2015, and the installation was located at/on Lizard Island Sensor Float 3 Latitude:-14.68752 - Longitude:145.4635. Sensor deployed was a MEA2173 SDI-12 Smart Temperature Sensor manufactured by Measurement Engineering Australia, model MEA2173. The following comment was recorded regarding this deployment - 'added by auto deploy'.

The following comment was recorded regarding this deployment - 'Water Temperature on the SBE39 sensor under Sensor-Float 3 at Lizard Island: Seabird SBE39-IM with Pressure 4440 measuring Water Temperature in units degrees celcius'.

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Water Temperature at 8.8m from 29 Feb 2012 through to 17 Apr 2015, and the installation was located at/on Lizard Island Sensor Float 3 Latitude:-14.68752 - Longitude:145.4635.
