'Ships of Opportunity' (SOOP) is a facility of the Australian 'Integrated Marine Observing System' (IMOS) project. This data set was collected by the SOOP sub-facility 'Sensors on Tropical Research Vessels' aboard the RV Solander Trip 6807.
Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Seawater Intake Temperature at 1.9m on trip 6807 from 22 Sep 2017 through to 24 Sep 2017, and the installation was located at/on RV Solander. Sensor deployed was a SBE 38 remote temperature sensor manufactured by Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc., model SBE 38.
Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Salinity at 1.9m on trip 6807 from 22 Sep 2017 through to 24 Sep 2017, and the installation was located at/on RV Solander. Sensor deployed was a SBE 21 conductivity cell manufactured by Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc., model SBE 21.
