This Record describes a seismic survey made by the Bureau of Mineral Resources on the Kroombit Creek 34.0M dam site in Central Queensland. This dam site is one of several under consideration by the Irrigation and Water Supply Commission of Queensland for the development of the Callide Valley. The depth to bedrock is shown to have values between 11 and 117ft. The overburden contains material which is probably of sufficient strength for use as dam foundations. This material lies at depths between 20 and 80ft.
