These are daily global chlor_a maps created by the Ocean Biology Processing Group (NASA/GSFC/OBPG) using the standard global algorithms in SeaDAS/l2gen (Hu et al. 2012, doi:10.1029/2011JC007395). The product has been binned and then mapped onto an approximately 9km grid. The data are from the SeaWiFS instrument on the Orbview-2 spacecraft.
