This dataset is a component of the 'Jervis Bay Baseline Studies' project conducted by the Department of Defence, CSIRO and the Australian Defence Force Academy.

The meteorological station at Governor Head (35.133S, 150.762E) and the anemometer in Huskisson (35.0416S, 150.67E) recorded winds between 10th August 1990 and 12th September 1990. The site at Governor head is several hundred metres inland of 50m high cliffs and is 63m above sea-level. The anemometer readings from Huskisson was run by the NSW Public Works Department.
