Lineage: Contours were generated from the LiDAR digital elevation model (DEM) using the freeware GIS package Quantum GIS. When compared to a sample area generated from the same data but using ArcMap, the contours were of equal or better quality. Positional Accuracy: The contours generated from the DEM will replicate any inaccuracies of the DEM. As a guide, the DEM data is vertically accurate to 15cm and horizontally accurate to 30cm.
