This dataset contains over 10,000 indexed records of obituaries found in Western Australian newspapers, newsletters and journals from the mid-1800s to early 2010s. The records were created by Library staff from the State Library of Western Australia (SLWA) between 1997 and 2014.
Information captured includes: • the deceased’s name • year of birth and death • a title and summary of the obituary • the publication title and date it was printed in • the page number the obituary appears on
