This dataset presents the footprint of the number of reported offences in Queensland, by month. The data is aggregated to Queensland Police Service (QPS) Divisions and spans the years January 2001 to August 2018. For further information about this dataset, please visit the QPS - Division Reported Offences Number. Please note:

AURIN has spatially enabled this data, using the QPS Divisions.

Data is made available through a AURIN-QCIF-RIDL collaboration.

Care should be taken when comparing monthly statistics. For example, January 2014 compared with February 2014. A more accurate comparison would be obtained by comparing a longer time series, for example, one calendar year to the next, as this will account for seasonal variations.
