Regolith thickness of the Hobart Area

Created 12/10/2024

Updated 12/10/2024

This layer shows regolith thickness of the Hobart Area as part of the Tasmanian Landslide Hazard Map Series, 2005. This information is of particular importance on the hill country to assist the validation of the debris-flow source zones. Most of the information comes from field observations made by the geologists who undertook 1:25 000 geological field mapping of the area, but some data is extracted from external reports.
