State Planning Policy 2.4: Exclusion Areas (DMIRS-073)

Created 13/01/2025

Updated 08/04/2025

This dataset comprises mapping associated with the State Planning Policy 2.4 Basic Raw Materials (BRM). Exclusion areas contain known BRM resources but are considered unfavourable for excavation. These areas are likely to have protected environmental values or are excluded for planning or infrastructure reasons. Currently, this dataset only shows those Exclusion Areas that lie within the Perth and Peel Regions and that were identified by an extensive interagency BRM planning process, which included public consultation in 2015 and 2016. Planning policy associated with this mapping is documented in the State Planning Policy 2.4.
