Swan Canning Riverpark Natural Foreshores 2023 (DBCA-079)

Created 13/01/2025

Updated 15/04/2025

This data set was derived from the Riverbank dataset, which aims to identify those foreshore areas most in need of works. Riverbank dataset assesses Built Foreshores, Natural Foreshores, Riparian Ecological Value and Useability of Foreshores to identify priorities. This data set represents the most up to date assessment of Natural Foreshores. Natural foreshores were first identified and assessed by marine engineer site visits in 2015. This data is based on a review and prioritised field assessments conducted in 2023. This is the most recent comprehensive assessment of the data set; hence this date is in the data set title. Minor additional updates to the data can be made annually in a response to new data availability. The data provides a Swan Canning Riverpark wide assessment of natural foreshores including rocky shore (cliff, rocky emergent) sedimentary (beach, embankment, exposed bank, scarp), vegetated (sedges, treelined). Feedback on accuracy and recency of data is welcome. This data is currently only available to all of government.
