Ecosystem health monitoring program developed in response to construction of the Tilley Swamp Drain. Monitoring a condition of the Tilley Swamp Drain and Watercourse NVC Management Plan Vegetation health (Melaleuca spp.), bird behaviour, wetland vegetation, weeds and ground water levels are monitored annually and published. Small fauna trapping also conducted in 2001. Fauna crossing effectiveness also monitored annually. The Tilley Swamp Survey is part of the Biological Survey of South Australia Program which is a series of systematic surveys conducted across the state between 1971 and the present with the broad aim of providing a baseline inventory of South Australia's flora and fauna biodiversity.
