The Torres Strait Prawn Fishery (TSPF) handbook (2011) provides an update on the status of the fishery and recent developments. A detailed background and history of the TSPF can be obtained from the TSPF strategic assessment, previous TSPF handbooks and the Torres Strait Protected Zone Joint Authority (PZJA) annual report. The summary information in the handbook is intended only to provide a guide to arrangements in the TSPF and does not replace legislation, legislative instruments or detailed advice specific to individual circumstances. For more detailed information readers should make use of the contacts listed inside the back cover and the copies of legislation in Section 7 of the handbook and on the PZJA website, including the Torres Strait Prawn Fishery Management Plan 2009.
