PHIDU - Emergency Department Presentations - Resuscitation and Emergency (PHN) 2017-2018

This dataset, released June 2020, contains Emergency department presentations for resuscitation and emergency by principal diagnosis, 2017/18. Presentations include Resuscitation and emergency presentations - Total; Resuscitation and emergency presentations for diseases of the circulatory system; Resuscitation and emergency presentations for diseases of the respiratory system; Resuscitation and emergency presentations for injury, poisoning and certain other consequences of external causes; Resuscitation and emergency presentations for other diseases or conditions. The data is by Primary Health Network (PHN) 2017 geographic boundaries based on the 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS). There are 31 PHNs set up by the Australian Government. Each network is controlled by a board of medical professionals and advised by a clinical council and community advisory committee. The boundaries of the PHNs closely align with the Local Hospital Networks where possible. For more information please see the data source notes on the data.
