Victoria’s Future Climate Tool

Updated 11/03/2025

Victoria's Future Climate Tool (VFCT) was first released in 2021, providing public access to future climate information to help inform decision-making. The tool was developed by the Victorian Government, working with CSIRO’s Climate Science Centre and Data61, to produce local-scale climate projections data for Victoria out to the 2090s. The tool is interactive, allowing users to view future climate information (including temperature, rainfall and heatwaves) as maps and charts for their local region and also enables users to export climate data for use in their own spatial tools. DEECA is updating the tool to incorporate the latest climate projections data customised for the Victorian context.
